![]() There's no need to re-resurrect your plug-ins. If you're already running 32 Lives V2, simply run the latest installer and you'll be good to go. It's free for all registered users and brings quite a few improvements. To download the latest installer, go to the user area on the SoundRadix website. If you're wondering this then it probably isn't you but a significant demand for old plug-ins will arise from people opening old projects created in 32 bit hosts, another interesting case is owners of the sadly discontinued TC Powercore accelerators and there are some old plugins which never made the transition at all, I remember the URS range fondly and while the Brilliance Pack is now handled by Softube, the Abbey Road plug-ins never made it to 64. Who Still Needs Access To 32-Bit Plug-ins? A solution for the owners of these "orphaned" 32-bit plug-ins which found themselves without a host was 32 Lives from SoundRadix, a 32 to 64-bit adaptor plug-in. And… my Korg monologue is able to remote control the Virus plugin over MIDI with no extra config or tools. While the transition from 32 to 64 bit DAW architecture was a few years ago there are still some much-missed VST and AU plug-ins which never made the transition. Is there any way to manually override the 32L startup plugin scan in the standard VST and Components folders and “hard-code” the app to scan only user folders?īTW - on the sunny side of this issue I encountered that on Mojave and in Live my old “PowerCore stars” Virus Powercore and VSS3 runs like Olympic champs with - together - only 3-4% CPU power under normal PowerCore Compact settings, which was impossible under High Sierra. I’ve tried several things in the meantime, especially a fresh install of 32L 2.0.6 and tips like resetting SMC and NVRAM, but nothing helped:( It doesn’t matter if i use the desktop app or any resurrected plugin in a DAW (Live 10.0.6) by opening the plugin manager - the first 150 (or so) plugins go fast, then 32L reaches about 11 GB wired RAM / 17GB virtual RAM and is dying together with the Finder actions more and more until my macmini (late 2012, 16GB RAM) freezes. Hi tal, thanks for your support, but I’ll be on the move for some days now and therefore not at my comp.
